  • Bank statement stating that such sum comes from social security payments.

  • Bank statement stating that you receive regular income as a result of an investment in shares.

In order to apply for this type of visa, in addition to the aforementioned document, you shall submit other requirements such as:

  • Copy of the applicants’ passport.

  • Copy of the birth certificate.

  • Copy of the marriage certificate if applicable.

  • A medical certificate.

  • Health insurance.

Most of these documents must be translated into Spanish by a dully certified interpreter. Also, they shall be legalized with the Hague Apostille so they can be considered valid. All your documentation must be submitted in the closest Spanish diplomatic mission to your domicile. Sometimes a prior appointment is required. The Spanish authorities may fulfill an interview. The response from the Spanish authorities may take between 1 or 3 months. In case of refusal, you will have around one month to appeal such decision. Sometimes, just by submitting the adequate documentation or new documentation, you can amend the refusal.
